Google orders Android ROM to cease and decist. Come on google!

Apparently Android ROM moder has been hit with a cease and desist order from Google! Come on Google! This is the reason that I bought an Android phone, so I could mess around with it like this person was doing. If there is something that I am missing on this that justifies Google's actions please enlighten me!
